Yolo County is getting creative in how it distributes COVID-19 tests.

County staff has installed five vending machines full of at-home antigen test kits.

The vending machines are located in West Sacramento, Woodland, Esparto, Winters and Davis.

The tests are free and available 24/7, but residents are asked to take just what they need and make sure that there’s enough for everybody.

“I think it’s great, more ease of access, versus us, we were signing up at the post office to get ours in the mail. This is instantaneous. Come up, push the buttons, it’s an easy one, two, three,” said Davis Santiago, a West Sacramento resident.
