A kit containing seven household Covid-19 tests, distributed by the NHS in the UK.

Nearly two years after the pandemic, it is still difficult to find them in the United States for rapid testing. If you do find them, they are usually expensive. The situation in other countries is better, such as the United Kingdom and South Korea, which provide free tests to those in need every day. Why is the United States different?
