NEW HAVEN — Here is a list of some of the coronavirus testing options in the Greater New Haven area.

The city of New Haven and the state, in conjunction with Branford-based Wren Labs, are offering two testing stations, one on Sargent Drive, the other on the New Haven Green.

The Sargent Drive site will be open Monday-Thursday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, according to a release from the city. The site at the Green will be open from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, officials said.

Both sites are open to residents without appointments, but appointments are “preferred,” according to Mayor Justin Elicker’s office.

Both are expected to be closed on New Year’s Day and Jan. 2, according to the state Department of Public Health.

Testing services also are available in the community through Cornell Scott Health Center, Fair Haven Community Health Care, Yale-New Haven Hospital and select Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid pharmacies, officials said.

Walk-ins are welcome at the Cornell Scott Health Center locations at 226 Dixwell Ave. and, on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon at 428 Columbus Ave. Otherwise, appointments can be made online or by calling 203-503-3000.

Fair Haven Community Health Care’s site at 374 Grand Ave. requires appointments. It is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. other than Dec. 31.

In Bridgeport, the state has created a testing site at the North End Branch Library, located at 3455 Madison Ave. It is scheduled to be open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday-Wednesday, noon to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The site will be closed New Year’s Day, according to the state.

In Middletown, the site at Cross Street AME Zion Church at 440 West St. is open Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. It will be closed on New Year’s as well.

The complete hours of the sites around the state are available on the state Department of Public Health’s website or by calling 211 or visiting 211ct.org. All state sites offer walk-up appointments.

“Additionally, although patients will be asked for insurance information, there is no cost or out-of-pocket expense for a COVID-19 test at all state-sponsored locations,” according to DPH.
